When most people are asked to think of the most iconic landmarks in London, the answers come thick and fast- Buckingham Palace, Houses of Parliament, Big Ben, Westminster Abbey, Downing Street, Trafalgar Square but as a tale of two cities, all of these actually lay in the regal city of Westminster.
Come along on a small-group adventure, guided by a local expert, through over 1000 years of history and hear the stories of Saxon Kings, Civil War, religious Reformation, important cats, the truth behind our Fireworks Night, Blitz, Crusades, heroes, villains and even how to tell when you’re on land owned by the royals. Walk in the footsteps of Winston Churchill, Henry VIII, Queen Victoria, Lord Admiral Nelson, Richard the Lionheart, Guy Fawkes and the Suffragettes. Capture the ultimate Westminster snapshots as you visit the most iconic telephone box in the city and the Queen’s Lifeguards who, on horseback, guard the entrances to the royal residences. Saunter right to the heart of British democracy with us.
